Quick Rundown

This is who I am, pseudo-character sheet style.  All taking place after the break.

Name: Cameron Nordstrom-Young

Age: 22 as of the year 2010.

Height: 6'2"

Whereabouts: Classified. Just not posting it on interwebs, if you really want to know, you can ask.

Personality: Logical to an extreme, often takes all forms of joking in a serious manner, answers other people's rhetorical questions (not always catching that they're rhetorical at the time), and while technically an emotional being, emotions rarely come into play for him, preferring to solve problems without consulting emotional needs and focusing on what must be done. This has led to problems in the past involving people immediately considering him to be cold and harsh when he is simply stating facts.

He is a Realist. What this entails is the bringing of balance to arguments and points of view. If one were to be overly cheerful and look at everything in a far to optimistic perspective, he would undoubtedly bring points to view that countered the cheesy happiness. Same goes for the exact opposite, if someone is extremely pessimistic he will bring to light the good and happy silver linings. His ideal is that of balance.

He can pick up on things most others would likely overlook and has been known to be a keen observer. While other people tend can read body language and determine someone's emotional state, he can read their actions and predict what they're going to do next. It doesn't always work, but enough people have claimed that he's psychic to make him think it works more often than not.

He is known for his wide range of knowledge and, supposedly, a high degree of intellect. But knowledge is useless without being able to apply it, so he learns to apply what he knows and in doing so has gained fame in his social circles as someone who has much wisdom (as wisdom is the application of knowledge). While a neat thing to claim, it has its validity in his ability to solve problems and rationalize with people who seem irrational.

He is constantly in lost in thought, no matter what he's doing. As such, he's one of the select few Male specimens that can multitask. At the same time, he can also focus all his mind onto one task and completely ignore the world around him in order to get whatever he's working on done.

Though logical and serious, he is also highly empathetic and is genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of others (especially those close to him) but more often than not runs into difficulty when attempting to sort out how he can help or what he should do.

A good listener and someone people turn to for advice, he has, unfortunately, seen and stopped more than his share of people attempting to commit suicide. This is not something that he takes lightly and may have deeply disturbed him, more than even he realizes.

While emotions rarely come into play for him a majority of the time, when they do show themselves they are a very intense and long lasting process, some of which still hit him hard every now and again, sending him into a depressed state (as of late anyway, anger has been known to occur as well) for elapsed times of anywhere from as little as an hour to as much as weeks or months. The majority of the current bouts of minor depression/remorse/regret are due to a massive miscalculation and screwing up of a relationship that was one of his happiest and closest to have seen to date. He screwed up, and now he can't do anything about it so he lives on, pangs of regret seeping into his everyday thoughts. More detail may be added to this later, time will tell.

All that aside, if you ever meet him in person, or spend any amount of time with him, he normally seems to be a very chipper, happy person. And thus is the case for the majority of the time. Most people upon meeting him regard him as a well rounded, rather eccentric, slightly crazy, not-socially-awkward guy who may be bad a small talk but can rattle random facts of like nobody's business.

Current Activities: He is scheduled to take up post-secondary classes in an effort to get his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry, to one day become a professor. As of late, he has been working at a barista for nearly two years sorting out what he wanted to do with his life after a short stint in an engineering program at the University of Calgary.

He is a WoW geek, a walking encyclopedia about the World of Warcraft (which may or may not be a good thing, depending on who you talk to) and the fixer of computers for his family. He has a creative streak though and does occasionally bring out the paper and pencil in an effort to draw something he deems worthwhile, but due to a perfectionistic nature he has a hard time finding anything that meets his standards. He has been known to play a bit of bass guitar and should probably pick it up sometime and get back at it. *hinthintatself* He is rarely without some form of musical listening device.

Religious Views: He is a die-hard protestant christian, currently affiliated with the Alliance churches. Where a lot of people consider themselves innately spiritual, he does not. The reason for his christian belief is due to the fact that it is the only religion that has given him any reason to believe in it. He is a scientist at heart, proof is needed for him to deem anything relevant. While he was indeed raised in a christian home and was most definitely the founding for his beliefs, they are still his own as he has come to see things in his own way. When he was battling major depression, it was the one thing that brought him out of it, and any time there is major stress in his life he knows he can rely on God to help him, no matter what comes of it. As of late, he has come to an understanding that he needs to rely upon God entirely and trust in the Lord his God, but to do so he needs to devote himself and all he does. That has been a trying issue for Cameron, as he is considered very independent and rarely asks anything of anyone. It's a learning process, one that seems to have taken major strides lately. And you know what? It's good, it's helping him and that's all that really matters. Oh, and the eternal life in the new heaven thing is rather nifty.

Summary: In short, Cam is a logical, serious, chipper, slightly crazy, deep, thoughtful, knowledgeable, scientific based, empathetic, listening, observant guy who has growing spirituality and a strong religious background.

**Note: Different forms of the words "Lord" and "God" have different meanings and are show by the type of capitalization used, so "LORD" is translated from the original hebrew as a different word than that of "Lord" and as such have different meanings. I've currently forgotten what ones they come from, but they do indeed mean something different and it's not just people being crazy when writing the Bible.**
